The East Islip Community Chamber wishes a happy and healthy New Year to all!
For those who missed the East Islip Community Chambers Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, here is a summary:
The night started out with JJ the DJ appropriately playing Charlie Brown music in honor of the tree the East Islip Community Chamber replaced. As the Cub Scouts presented the flag, our national anthem played and our tree lighting project put on a beautiful red, white, and blue display. The RCK chorus provided a festive holiday atmosphere with their singing.
This was the epitome of community. Local businesses like Richie’s Towing, On a Roll Contracting, The Emporium Supermarket, Hong Kong Kitchen, the local 99 cent store, The Bagelry, Juicy Burger, Bagels and Brunch, and Mary’s Pizza devoted their time and services to everyone so they could spend some time for some pure enjoyment.
As a testament to .the community spirit, The Fire Department, Exchange Ambulance, and the 3rd Precinct were instrumental in ensuring that we were in the best hands. Our local dignitaries were in attendance and wished everyone a happy holiday season.
The directors of the East Islip Community Chamber thank everyone for making our Tree Lighting Ceremony a great event. We are proud to be part of a great community. Our general meetings are the last Wednesday of each month and we welcome everyone to attend.
